El Paso County proposes to construct a project to improve drainage and to replace the existing battery of steel pipes below Judge Orr Road between Eastonville Road and US Highway 24 near Falcon, CO. The project shall be constructed to improve drainage within Bennett Ranch Channel and improve roadway stability along the designated section of Judge Orr Road.
The Project will generally consist of replacing the existing battery of three 72 inch corrugated steel pipes with a new double box culvert and associated wingwalls, extending existing sheetpile along the culvert entrance, and roadway improvements on and around the culvert. The Project also includes access improvements to the north and south of the box culvert along driveways and access roads.
The Project will require some minor electric, fiber optic, and water utility collaboration and/or coordination, including protection of existing lines and installation of sleeves for future installations by the utility company (Woodmen Hills / Meridian Service Metro District). The Contractor will be required to coordinate with the affected utility companies (Mountain View Electric Association, Comcast, Century Link, Zayo Group) during construction.
