IFB-23-126 - Construction of the Rex and Meridian Intersection Improvements Projects

The proposed Rex and Meridian Intersection Improvements Project consists of installing a traffic signal(s), widening and full depth reconstruction of both Meridian Rd. and Rex Rd., new water quality roadside ditches, drainage improvements, and profile improvements.
All work shall be performed within El Paso County right-of-way. No easements were acquired for the Project. Staging and stockpiles shall be within EPC ROW unless written permission is obtained from property owner(s).
The contractor shall schedule all construction activities to correlate with the following phasing schedule:

Phase 1 Meridian Rd - Construct NB lanes.  Beginning at STA 232+00 going north
Rex Rd (east) – Construct WB lanes

Phase 2 Meridian Rd - Construct SB lanes and driveway improvements
Rex Rd (west) – Construct WB lanes.

Phase 3 Rex Rd west – Construct EB lanes and driveway improvements

Each phase shall be completed in a sequential matter as described above unless otherwise authorized by the Engineer.
