The El Paso County Department of Facilities & Strategic Infrastructure Management (County) is seeking written Best Value Bids from qualified vendors to provide all labor, materials and permits, if required, for the El Paso County office remodel at 15 East Vermijo Avenue, Colorado Srpings, CO 80903. All services and materials shall be provided per the following scope of work, requirements and attached drawings.
The building, built in 1952, is a one story, slab on grade, brick and CMU exterior walls and 2x10 wood frame flat roof construction. It was originally a four-unit retail building. The east end unit has a 22’x50’ basement. This project will be a 9,269 square foot remodel of space formally occupied by a tavern and the adjacent office space into a single office space. This will comprise three of the four existing units.
This work will entail reroofing, fenestration replacement, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and minor structural for new roof top units. Patch, repair and paint existing exterior stucco on entire building. Patch, repair and paint existing front canopy on entire building. Interior wall demolition and abatement was completed previously. There will be minor demolition of an interior CMU wall, existing hardwood flooring, existing storefront glass, existing metal frame exterior wall and doors, roof top units and ductwork.
