Description

El Paso County is issuing this Solicitation for the purpose of entering into a contract for services as specified herein from Vendor(s) that will provide prompt and efficient service to the County for Youth Transition Services. Although this Solicitation specifies exact locations and timelines for these services to be completed, it is understood and agreed that the County may, during the term of the contract, request additional services be performed by the successful Vendor(s) at other locations within El Paso County. This option, if exercised, is the prerogative of the County and shall be honored by the Vendor(s) throughout the contract period. No guarantees are made that additional services will be requested.

The Vendor shall provide support services to adolescent youth currently residing in foster care or Independent Living Arrangement (ILA) to assist them to overcome barriers to independent living and adulthood. The youth in this program will have varied challenges resulting from trauma, including the inability to connect to others, behavioral issues, and mental health issues. It is anticipated that youth will be referred to this program annually.

Work with youth to get them closer to independent living. This may be minor youth close to aging out of the foster care system, or youth who have voluntarily remained in, or re-entered the system through the Youth In Transition regulations.
