The scope of the prospective engagement will be to perform a financial statement audit of the Foothills Park & Recreation District, for the year ending December 31, 2022, and possibly 2 subsequent years. Each proposal will include the audit fee for performing the 2022, 2023 and 2024 audits. The annual audit fee quoted will include detail of both an hourly and an overall total.
The firm selected will be expected to provide an independent auditors report for inclusion in the District’s annual financial statements. The firm will also be available throughout the year to answer any questions regarding audit, taxation or accounting issues, as well as other work that may be requested. Each annual audit shall be completed in the first five months of the subsequent year.
The selected firm, upon completion of the audit shall provide a management letter that will include a statement of audit findings and recommendations affecting the financial statements, internal control, accounting systems, instances of noncompliance with regulatory requirements, and any other material matters. In addition, the firm will present a synopsis of findings and recommendations to Foothills Board of Directors at their annual May meeting.
