RFP-15P004 - LIBRARY POINT OF SALE SYSTEM

Summary of Specifications:
The goal of this project is to better utilize technology to bring JCPL�fs cash handling processes into alignment with accounting best practices and to implement efficiencies. We intend to pilot test a point of sale (POS) system at Golden Library in advance of a major remodel, with the goal of having a system selected in preparation for Golden Library�fs opening day in June 2015. We will utilize feedback from the pilot at Golden to evaluate implementation of a POS system at all libraries across JCPL. Possibility of system�]wide implementation of POS is dependent on successful evaluation of pilot and budget considerations. The Library is soliciting proposals for a turnkey Point of Sale System as further described in this document. The initial implementation will be treated as a pilot project. The Library intends to contract with a single vendor for such pilot. If the project is extended to additional locations, the library reserves the right to contract with the selected vendor without further competitive process, or to begin a new competitive bid process, as the Library solely determines to be in its best interests.
