26038 - Districtwide Annul Ready to Serve Pizza

Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) process, the District is seeking proposals from qualified Respondents to procure and deliver Ready to Serve Pizza to participating District locations.
The mission of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) is to provide a variety of healthy school meals and other food options at affordable prices in support of the educational goals of students. The District participates in multiple National School Meal Programs for reimbursement of meals that meet federal standards and is allocated USDA foods for use in school meals through the Food Distribution Program.  In accordance with federal Buy American law, section 104(d) of the William F. Goodling Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-336) added a new provision, Section 12(n) of the NSLA (42 USC 1760(n)), requiring the District desires to purchase domestic food products to the maximum extent practicable for school meals.
