Summary of Specifications:
La Plata County (County) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for architectural services for the preliminary design, including some engineering and cost estimating, of a remodel of courthouse offices and meeting rooms into space intended for use by the United States District Court (Federal Courts). The County Commissioner, Administration, Assessor and Finance Departments currently occupy a major portion of the Courthouse located at 1060 East Second Avenue Durango, Colorado. This project is for the remodel of this space into a courtroom and offices for use of the Federal District Court, Marshal’s Office, and Probation Departments. The space currently consists of meeting rooms, offices and restrooms. The space will be used as a courtroom, meeting rooms, offices, restrooms and prison holding cells.
