Summary of Specifications:
La Plata County has been experiencing an increase in the frequency and severity of medical related claims. As a result of this increased activity, La Plata County has been experiencing an increase in premium costs. It is our goal to decrease our claims activity by sponsoring an Employee Health Clinic. The model we are interested in would provide our employees with barrier free, cost free, access to primary health care and common prescription medications. We are interested in looking at both a contracted model where the County would directly sponsor an on-site clinic and a model in which we partner with an existing provider.
