17-033-1245 - Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Manangement

La Plata County is seeking an organization to efficiently and compliantly manage Family Medical Leave (FMLA).  Human Resources currently  spend hours each week sending out FMLA notices, tracking FMLA hours and answering employee FMLA questions.  The current process is extremely time-consuming, manual task that has the potential of putting the County at risk of FMLA administration lawsuits.  FMLA is a complex, often confusing, law to interpret as well as administer. The selected vendor shall: Complete federal and state compliance, including military leaves; Real-time calculation of time used and time remaining; Calculates leave eligibility and entitlement; Stores all correspondence and documentation electronically and securely; Automates FMLA paperwork and correspondence; Provides reporting tools.
