Summary of Specifications:
La Plata County Engineering Division is soliciting proposals for on-call Geotechnical services. The consultant will have a Colorado Registered Professional Engineer in responsible charge of the work. Some of these services may be needed on short notice, particularly during a construction project. For that reason, the consultant must have an office within a 150-mile radius of Durango. The following is being offered as examples of the types of services or conditions that may be requested and is not intended to be all-inclusive: geological evaluations; slope stability analyses and design drawings related to county roads or drainage facility design; field reconnaissance; pavement design; geotechnical consulting for issues near or affecting county roads, or county properties, such as gravel pits, as requested by County staff; foundation recommendations for structures; geotechnical consulting for issues affecting county roads, including road construction, as requested by the engineering staff; geotechnical consulting for County properties such as gravel pits, as requested by the engineering staff; and field sampling and lab testing services.
