Summary of Specifications:
The Grandview Area is a partially developed primarily unincorporated area of La Plata County (the County) east and south of the City of Durango’s (the City) eastern City limits. The Joint Planning Area Map has three distinct “Tiers.” Tier 3 properties generally include those unincorporated lands designated by the City’s Comprehensive Plan as eligible for City water and/or sewer service. The problem that the County wants to resolve through this sub-area (primarily Tier 3) plan process is how to designate land uses in the area to accommodate future projected growth in an area where there is a distinct lack of full urban infrastructure and services.
