4-19-6 - Nutrition Services - Healthy Beverage

Littleton Public Schools (LPS) and Chery Creek School District (CCSD) referred to as “Districts’” are soliciting proposals from qualified firms to procure a variety of beverage items with fixed pricing, not to exceed an agreed upon amount, by brand name for our school nutrition programs.  Respondents and potential respondents to this RFP are referred to as “Vendors” or “Vendor” in this RFP.  The successful Vendor(s) shall supply beverages that meet the USDA Smart Snacks in Schools regulations for beverage offerings as required by the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act 2010.  These standards apply to beverages sold a la carte and in school stores.

New products are encouraged throughout the term of the contract.  The Districts’ and the successful Vendor(s) will implement an agreed-upon offering of a variety of beverages.  These products are subject to change as the Federal and/or State law changes.

The Districts’ seek the following brand name beverages for use in their school nutrition programs, while encouraging all Vendor offering products that meet the USDA Smart Snacks in Schools regulations to submit a proposal.  Please note, Kombucha is not permissible under USDA standards.  The Districts’ do not sell diet sodas in their schools.
