Separate sealed BIDS for the Walton Creek Lift Station Improvements will be received by the OWNER Mount Werner Water District, 3310 Clearwater Trail, PO Box 770940, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, until 2:00 PM mountain standard time on March 17th, 2025, and then at the said location publicly read aloud. Bids received after the deadline will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bidders are required to attend the Bid Opening.

The Work generally consists of the following:

Below grade concrete wet well and dry well,
Dewatering,
erosion control,
concrete masonry access house,
grading, process piping and valves,
yard piping and valves,
connection to existing utilities,
existing lift station modifications,
process integration,
electrical, instrumentation and controls
Ancillary work for a complete and operational lift station.

The date for substantial completion of milestone 1 shall be no later than October 31, 2025. Milestone 1 includes the installation and testing of pressure and gravity yard piping and appurtenances, yard electric, gravel base course installation civil grading, rip-rap installation, concrete pads, new lift station structure and other work that will be difficult or cannont be completed after substantial snowfall. The date for project substantial competion is February 28th, 2026, and the date for project final completion is March 31st, 2026.

A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the offices of the OWNER Mount Werner Water District, 3310 Clearwater Trail, PO Box 770940, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 at 10:00 AM prevailing time on February 14, 2025. A virtual option will be made available on request.

The ENGINEER will maintain a plan holders list.

A BID GUARANTEE in the amount of 5 percent of the BID AMOUNT is required. PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT AMOUNT is required.

The Mount Werner Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and proposals and enter into a contract or issue a purchase order which, in its sole opinion, best serves the needs and interests of the Mount Werner Water District and its constituents.
