Pitkin County will accept proposals from interested parties for the Pitkin County 2017 Countywide Guardrail Repair Project. The project is to include the repair of several sections of existing guardrail and end anchorages at locations along the following roadways within Pitkin County:

Brush Creek Road
Gerbaz Way
Landfill Road
Lower River Road
Smith Hill Road
Upper River Road

The 2017 Countywide Guardrail repair project will make repairs to restore damaged guardrail to either original standards or practical operational conditions. Existing guardrail and end anchorages within the County varies in age, condition, type, height, materials, size manufacturer and standard under which it was installed.
The repairs shall include the adjusting and straightening of guardrail posts to acceptable height, replacement of damaged and missing w-beams, posts, blocks and hardware. Repairs to end anchorages shall include the replacement of posts, brackets, cables and hardware.
