Platte River is a not-for-profit, community-owned public power utility that generates and delivers safe, reliable, environmentally responsible and financially sustainable energy and services to Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont and Loveland, Colorado, for delivery to their utility customers. As a public power provider, Platte River is also committed to helping its owner communities achieve their respective but united energy goal of a 100% noncarbon energy future.
Platte River participates in the Windy Gap Project operated by the municipal subdistrict of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. Platte River’s Board of Directors authorized the sale of five unfirmed Windy Gap units.
Platte River seeks bids for the sale of these unfirmed Windy Gap units. Platte River will sell any quantity of units up to the maximum total of five unfirmed units. There is a minimum reserve bid of $3,800,000.00 per unit.
Platte River will post a detailed bid specification, including instructions to bidders, on or about Thursday, June 8, 2023. Platte River will consider proposals only from those bidders that comply with the bid specification.
Bid proposals may not be altered, withdrawn, or resubmitted for 90 days after the bid submission deadline.
Platte River has sole discretion to accept one or more bid proposals that represent the best overall value to Platte River, taking into consideration the price and other evaluation factors set forth in the bid specification, and to reject any or all bid proposals, or to accept or reject any portion of any bid proposals. Platte River will not consider bid proposals received after the bid proposal submission deadline.
