The Pueblo West Metropolitan District (“District”) is accepting unit bid pricing from qualified Contractors to provide mowing & maintenance services on a scheduled and as-needed basis, for the right of ways, easements, and District-owned properties as described in Section I – Scope of Services.
The District is a 48-square mile rural community with a population of approximately 30,000 with approximately 400 miles of roadways, 18 miles of trails, 400 acres of vacant District properties and over 4,000 acres of public parcels/easements. During the course of normal maintenance, several District Departments occasionally require services deemed urgent and/or beyond the capabilities of “in-house” resources.
It is the District’s intent to create a roster of qualified contractors willing to provide services on an as-needed basis and to establish, in advance, the unit pricing for compensation of such services. By seeking pricing from contractors, the District does not represent that it will utilize the contractor’s services, nor that it will utilize the contractor’s services any guaranteed number of times over the contract period.
Contractors placed on the as-needed roster will generally be utilized in order of rate per unit for the services needed. The District reserves the right; however, to take into account responsiveness as well as past performance in determining which contractor will be contacted first and given the opportunity to perform the work. Should the first contacted contractor be unable or unwilling to perform the needed service, the District will proceed down the roster as necessary to meet the needs of the District.
