Description

The project site is located in Lake Pueblo State Park at the base of Pueblo Dam. The 24-inch raw water suction-side pipeline connects Pueblo Reservoir to the PWMD Arkansas River Pump Station.

The project generally includes removal and disposal of approximately 1,600 linear feet of an existing 24-inch diameter ductile iron pipeline an appurtenances and the installation of a new 28-inch diameter (equivalent inside diameter of 24-inch) high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline with appurtenances within the same horizontal alignment. Vertical alignment may vary based on the drawings.

The project also includes the removal, disposal, backfill and restoration of an existing temporary pump station and buried latrine on the north side of the Arkansas River. Restoration of pavements, gravel access roads and disturbed areas are also required.

Each BID must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Pueblo West Metropolitan District, with each sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside as "BID for Suction Line Replacement Project" with the name of the BIDDER and his address. If mailed, the Bid envelope must be enclosed in another envelope, which is addressed to the OWNER as above.

All BIDS must be made on the required Bid forms. All blank spaces for Bid prices must be filled in, typewritten or with ink. The Bid form must be signed and executed when submitted. Only one (1) form is required.

BIDDERS must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the BID schedule by examination of the site and review of the drawings and specifications including any ADDENDA. After BIDS have been submitted, the BIDDER shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of WORK or of the nature of WORK to be done
