Description

South Suburban Park and Recreation District (“SSPRD”), in partnership with the City of Sheridan (Sheridan), is seeking a highly qualified, capable landscape architecture firm to perform planning, design, engineering and public engagement services for the development of a new trailhead along Bear Creek at 3600 S. Federal Boulevard (the “Project”). Sheridan purchased the 1.4-acre property in January 2024. SSPRD and Sheridan are jointly developing the Project and both entities will be involved in design decisions. SSPRD provides parks and recreation services for the City of Sheridan. SSPRD is the contracting entity responsible for project and contract management. The selected consultant will be issued South Suburban’s professional services agreement.

Interested consultants are invited to attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site walk scheduled for January 17, 2025, from 11 am to noon at the Project site, 3600 S. Federal Blvd. On-site parking is limited, and on-street parking is available on W Jefferson Avenue (use the Bear Creek Trail underpass at Federal Blvd to access the site). In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be held at the Sheridan City Hall at 4101 S. Federal Blvd.

Interested consultants may submit qualifications prior to January 30, 2025, at or before 4:00pm to the following:

There is no limit on file sizes (MB) for digitally submitted packets, however, it is the responsibility of the consultant to ensure such files are received by SSPRD and the City, and that appropriate file sharing software is utilized. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
