Project Scope and Requirements: Monet’s Island Design and Landscape aims to transform the island
into a visually stunning and sustainable environment suitable for the backdrop of wedding
ceremonies, special events, and community gatherings. The project includes the removal of existing
landscape elements that no longer match the desired aesthetics and the creation and landscaping of
a new design that features year-round foliage and color.
A. Design and Aesthetics: Develop a landscape design similar to the design included that serves
as a backdrop of wedding ceremonies, special events and community gatherings. Ensure the
design includes elements that provide year-round foliage and color. Incorporate features that
enhance the visual appeal of the islands in all seasons.
B. Sustainability: Implement sustainable practices that preserve and enhance the soil and
grounds. Use native plants and materials that require minimal maintenance and are well-suited
to the local climate. Design and construct the landscape to be environmentally
responsible, minimizing water usage and promoting biodiversity.
C. Removal of Existing Landscape: Assess the current landscape and identify elements that do
not align with the new design. Safely remove and dispose of these elements in an
environmentally friendly manner.
D. Landscape Installation: Prepare the site for new landscape elements, including soil
preparation and grading. Install new plants, trees, shrubs, and other landscape features
according to the approved design.
