IFB-PS-2009-9 - 2010 Chip Seal Program

Summary of Specifications:
The work to be performed under this contract includes; removal of pavement markings; cleaning of designated streets and application of a polymerized emulsified asphalt and a cover coat of aggregate to those streets and as work shown in Appendix A. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. The contract shall be awarded based on the unit prices for the work shown in Appendix A. The contract shall be awarded based on information and instructions to bidders as noted in the specifications. The contractor shall commence work no later than ten (10) calendar days from, and including, the date of the Notice to Proceed, and be substantially complete within twenty (20) working days. The chip seal application shall take place in the months of July and/or August. Night work may be necessary and will be discussed at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
