Summary of Specifications:
The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with the contract and the specifications. The work to be performed under this contract will include the removal and replacement of existing concrete pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, mountable curb, gutter and walk, crosspans (10” thick), driveways, curb ramps (6” thick), inlets, pipework, earthwork and grading. The contract shall be awarded based on the unit prices for the work shown in Appendix A and the Bid Schedule. After completion of the work in Appendix A, additional work will be assigned, and the contractor will maintain unit prices for work through the remainder of the year. No guarantee is made as to the quantity of additional work that may be assigned to the Contractor. Due to an extended time frame and continuing work in the Contract, the low responsive bidder shall be required to prove its ability to mobilize and respond to continuing quantities of work in a timely manner, prior to award of the Contract. Work contained in Appendices shall commence no later than ten (10) calendar days from, and including, the date of the Notice to Proceed, and be substantially complete within forty-five (45) working days.
