2019-12 - THE WOODLANDS SEWER INTERCEPTOR REHABILITATION PROJECT

Castle Rock Water (CRW) is accepting proposals from Consultant/Contractor to provide sewer manhole inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation services for the Woodlands Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation Project (see Attachment A for Site Map).  The project entails rehabilitation of seven (7) interceptor manholes, approximately 93 vertical linear feet total, that appear to be failing due to concrete corrosion related to hydrogen sulfide levels.  Manned-entry inspections of the manholes have not been completed to-date but CRW is of the opinion that the manholes require full structural rehabilitation (specifically prefabricated inserts) or full manhole replacement due to high levels of concrete degradation.

CRW is looking to partner with a firm with locally recognized expertise in performing thorough inspection and condition assessments of existing manholes followed up with construction of successful rehabilitation systems.  CRW is accepting proposals from Contractors with in-house expertise in manhole inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation construction or from
Consultant/Contractor teams that have a successful history of collaborating on local projects to provide these services.  The sewer interceptor is critical infrastructure in a sensitive area and CRW is looking to install a rehabilitation system that will provide CRW with absolute confidence that it will be a long term solution in extending the lifespan of this infrastructure.
