Lyons Valley River Park is a 15-acre parcel along the banks of the St. Vrain River, on the southeast side of the Town of Lyons. During the Flood of 2013, the park was destroyed. The goal of this project is to rebuild the area with consideration of recreation, community connectivity, and habitat restoration and education. The project includes, but is not limited to: re-building of the McConnell Ponds, installation of a connective trail, re-establishment of wetlands and riparian/trail vegetation, and may include the installation of a sewer outfall.
