Summary of Specifications:
INTRODUCTION/INVITATION: The Town of Lyons (Owner, Town) is seeking to pre-qualify firms for rehabilitation of the Lyons Depot Library after damage related to the 2013 flood disaster. After evaluating qualifications, the top 3 firms will be invited to bid the project for construction. The work is funded in part by grants from History Colorado State Historical Fund and Colorado Department of Local Affairs therefore work is required to meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state and local rules and regulations.PROJECT SCOPE/PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to prequalify up to 3 General Contractors to provide a bid for rehabilitation of the Lyons Depot Library. The Town of Lyons reserves the right to amend this RFQ. Any amendments will be sent to all firms supplied with the initial RFQ and those who request a copy after the initial distribution. SCHEDULE: This schedule is provided for the consultant’s information, and maybe subject to change: • May 8, 2015 - Qualifications due to the Lyons Town Hall by 2:00pm • May 14, 2015 – Top 3 (maximum) qualified firms will be provided with an RFP to bid construction • June 8, 2015 - Bids due to Lyons Town Hall by 4:00pm • June 17, 2015 - A notice of intent to accept Proposal is expected to be issued • June 30, 2016 - Last acceptable date for substantial completion (library occupies depot) SEE ATTACHMENT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
