2024-009 - Town of Timnath Comprehensive Plan Update

The Town of Timnath ("Town") is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement to provide Comprehensive Plan consulting services for the Town. The intent of this update is to move beyond traditional land use designations (such as rural residential, low-density residential, medium-density residential, etc) towards a more flexible and nuanced approach that incorporates land use typologies or place types. This approach will allow for a wider variety of building types, densities, and uses within each category and help the Town balance its rural character with developing areas. The updated Comprehensive Plan will provide a foundation for future land use code updates, address current gaps in housing diversity, and establish a framework for economic development that aligns with the Town’s needs and goals.
