2024-0002 - Town of De Beque Comprehensive Plan Update

The Town of De Beque, Colorado is looking for a qualified firm to help establish a framework to guide the community in the coming years. This update will concentrate on creating the following elements currently missing from the current Comprehensive Plan: a Three Mile Plan, Water Use/Efficiency, Utilities & Infrastructure, Risk Assessment, and resiliency. It also aims to strengthen the existing Recreations and Tourism section, create a trail plan, and outline the vision for River Park. Additionally, the update will provide recommendations for future zoning and subdivision ordinance updates and explore unique and innovative design characteristics to enhance the small town and eclectic feel of De Beque. The focus will be on key goals and implementation strategies that will lead to a Land Use Code Update.

The firm needs to assist in creating an actionable plan that will help generate a list of prioritized actions. It will be written in the document that the plan is to be evaluated and reviewed every year by Town officials, can be updated as needed, and should be consulted during annual budget discussions.
