The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals for ongoing research in the research area of coal derived asphalt. This project has been ongoing for 8 years. It requires collaboration between the University of Wyoming (“University” or “UW”) and a research organization that can work closely with the University Coal to Asphalt team. The project is in process of determining a list of solvents to produce coal extract and residual material intermediates in addition to formulating, testing and characterizing coal derived asphalt products suitable for testing in accordance with industry standards.

The University will only accept and consider electronically submitted proposals from suppliers, which must be submitted and received in the www.bidnetdirect.com electronic solicitation portal on or before 2:00 p.m. MST on March 4, 2024, at which time the submission portal will close and no further submissions be allowed or considered. It is the sole responsibility of the supplier to see that the response to the RFP is submitted through the BidNet portal by the submission deadline.
