Summary of Specifications:
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) is seeking bids from qualified private security guard contractors for the provision of professional armed security guard services at the Government Center Complex and any other locations that may be later designated by the County.
Bidders shall provide proof of experience, knowledge and ability to perform the tasks considered and expected to be performed under this contract. Bidders shall have a minimum of five years of experience in the security services field to be considered for award. All guard personnel shall be currently certified security guard officers according to State of Florida requirements and shall possess previous law enforcement or corrections officer experience. Certification as a law enforcement or correctional officer, pursuant to Chapter 943, Florida Statutes, shall supersede the need to also possess licensure as a private security officer or company as required in Chapter 493, Florida Statutes. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining any and all Federal, State and/or local requirements for providing armed guard services, and any costs associated with obtaining and maintaining these requirements shall be included in the Contractor's bid price.
