Summary of Specifications:
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified Contractors capable of performing a wind retrofit on the Bay County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Substation located at 10005 Hutchinson Boulevard, Panama City Beach, FL 32407. The facility shall be retrofitted/constructed in accordance with VBA Design Specifications and Structural Report included as Attachment 3. The Contractor shall be responsible for complete furnishing and installing of construction materials including site preparation, demolition, disposal, building construction with insulation, and all other work associated with the complete construction, site restoration and clean-up.
The project is a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) Contract 4138-13-R. It is imperative that the awarded Contractor examine and become familiar with the grant conditions (Attachment 4) and Federal Funding requirements (Attachment 2). Funding for the project has been made possible through this grant and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth.
Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be Florida Licensed Contractors in their trade.
Bids may be deemed nonresponsive if not accompanied by proof of State of Florida General Contractor’s License.
The project shall be constructed using the latest edition of the Florida Building Code, but in no instance less than the architectural specified design drawings and facility specifications.
