Summary of Specifications:
SEALED BIDS for John Pitts Road Area Drainage Improvement Project will be received by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA at the Purchasing Department, 840 West 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401 up until 1:30 PM (CDT) on July 2, 2012. Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 PM (CDT) on July 2, 2012.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with Bidders name, address, date and time of bid opening, and bid number 12-27 for John Pitts Road Area Drainage Improvement Project.
No bid will be opened unless accompanied by proof of Florida Department of Transportation qualifications in the following work categories: 1) Flexible Paving, 2) Hot Plant-Mixed, Bituminous Structural, and Surface Courses, 3) Drainage, and 4) Grading.
Please submit an original and one (1) copy of your bid package.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of roadside drainage, final grading, base work, and roadway stabilization with open grade hot mix asphalt of five (5) existing dirt roads in the John Pitts Road area.
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM (CST) on June 12, 2012, in the Public Works conference room at 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401. Point of Contact will be Sheila Faries, Interim Purchasing Director, at 850-248-8270. The Project Manager and Superintendent in charge of construction must attend the pre-bid meeting. Bids will only be accepted from firms in attendance at this pre-bid meeting.
