Summary of Specifications:
Design a multi-phase courthouse facility that will be attached to the existing Bay County Courthouse via an enclosed and environmentally controlled walkway. The design concept will be consistent with the Bay County Courthouse Master Plan (JRA, July 15, 2009) and established Federal and State Courthouse design standards. The total build-out to include one story of parking under two or three stories of courtrooms and office space of which only one story would be finished (the remaining two stories will be built unfinished to provide for future growth). Each of the floors including the parking levels are to be approximately 20,000 square feet. Site work would include utility services, drainage and storm-water treatment, access roads, waterfront walkway/park and additional surface parking where possible. A MANDATORY Pre-submittal meeting will be held at 1:00 PM (CST) on December 18, 2009, in the Public Works Department Conference Room at 840 W. 11th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401. Point of Contact will be James Clawson, Purchasing Director, at 850-248-8274. A corporate executive and/or lead architect in responsible charge of design must attend the pre-submittal meeting. SOQs will only be accepted from firms whose corporate executive and/or lead architect in responsible charge of design are in attendance at this pre-submittal meeting. A site visit will be provided after the Pre-submittal meeting is concluded.
