Summary of Specifications:
Material/Construction/Width The boot upper shall be constructed of durable; waterproof or water-resistant leather and shall have a thin lining inside.
Boots shall be lightweight and have a steel shank for support, cushion insoles with heel and arch support, and steel toes at a minimum classification of 75.
The soles shall have excellent traction and be long wearing, durable, slip resistant, and oil resistant.
Selections shall include steel-toed boots meeting or exceeding electrical hazard requirements.
There shall also be a selection of boots with steel midsole and a class 75 steel toe for those designated employees that are required to wear the steel midsole for protection.
Domestic Manufactured preferred, with a minimum of four (4) width selections provided.
Style The selections shall consist of pull-on boots, lace-up boots, oxford/casual shoes, and boots/shoes meeting electrical hazard standards.
The selection shall include women's boots/shoes.
The selection of lace-up boots shall range in heights of 6", and 8".
The selection of pull-on boots shall range in heights of 8", and 10".
All boots shall meet the minimum requirements listed above and shall also meet the requirements and specifications in American National Standard for Men's Safety-Toe Footwear Z41.1-1999.
Steel-toed Tennis Shoes do not meet County specifications.
Boot colors selection shall include brown, black or grey.
