Summary of Specifications:
Qualifications: Proposal packages must include proof of Florida DOT qualification (current FDOT Notice or Certificate of Qualification) in the following categories: All design firms, to include construction firms with in-house design teams and sub-consultants (surveying, geotechnical, etc.), shall be qualified under Rule Chapter 14-75, Florida Administrative Code, in the following types of work: Group 3, Type 3.1 Minor Highway Design, Group 8, Type 8.2 Design, Right of Way and Construction Surveying, Group 9, Types 9.1 Soil Exploration, 9.2 Geotechnical Classification Lab Testing and 9.3 Highway Materials Testing. Those firms with a current continuing professional services agreement in civil and geotechnical engineering with Bay County and who have been qualified in the above work areas are prequalified for this project. The prime construction contractor and all subcontractors shall be qualified under Rule Chapter 14-22, Florida Administrative Code, in the following classes of work: Grading, Drainage, and Specialty Classes of Work: Grassing, Seeding and Sodding, and Pavement Markings.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: It is the intention of this RFP to find a Proposer that is capable of designing and constructing sidewalks on Thomas Drive (CR 392) from the end of Phase III at Dolphin Drive to just West of Spyglass Drive where the sidewalks for the new Grand Lagoon Bridge will begin. Work includes installation of concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, drainage inlets, storm sewer pipes and pavement striping. The Proposer shall be responsible for complete construction including permitting and all required permit fees, surveying, engineering design, construction plans, traffic control through work zones, all done in accordance with Florida DOT Standards and Specifications.
