Summary of Specifications:
It is the intent of the Administration to use the RFQ process to select a firm whose specialty and primary business is in the practice of Golf Course Architecture to lead the selected Project Team, based on the requirements outlined in this RFQ. Other Team members may include (but not be limited to) Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering firms as subconsultants with extensive design, upgrade, and retrofitting experience; including drainage, irrigation, and possible utility improvements. The selected Firm must demonstrate design and construction administration expertise, based on the successful completion of a number of projects of similar complexity for other governmental and/or private entities. Firms with extensive experience and capabilities are encouraged to submit details of their qualifications and experience. This design should include a natural grass nine-hole golf course; a lake that would serve drainage, irrigation, and fill functions; cart paths; six (6) tennis courts; public restrooms; a children’s water splash pad (interactive fountain) to be located at the most appropriate location; a grove of flowering/fruit trees; a jogging trail around the perimeter of the site; and a tot lot near the Scott Rakow Youth Center. The selected Firm must also address the parking impact and parking needs for the entire facility.
