Invitation to Bid No.11-09/10
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Director, 3rd Floor, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, until 3:00 p.m. on December 1st, 2009 for:
EMERGENCY BOARD-UP AND SECURING SERVICES
At time, date, and place above, bids will be publicly opened. Any bids or bids received after time and date specified will be returned to the bidder unopened. The responsibility for submitting a bid/bid before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the bidder/proposer. The City is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence. Purpose: The intent of these specifications is to pre-qualify bidders for the purchase of emergency board-up and securing services whereas all work shall include the furnishing of all materials, labor, supervision, means of transportation, permits, licenses, equipment and incidentals necessary for the emergency board-up and in the securing of buildings and structures citywide on an as needed basis for the term of the contract. This contract shall remain in effect for one (1) year from date of contract execution by the Mayor and City Clerk, and may be renewed by mutual agreement for two (2) additional years, on a year to year basis. Minimum Requirements: Prospective bidders must be licensed State of Florida or Miami-Dade County Building or General Contractors. Insurance is required as per the license category (State and/or Local). Prospective Bidder must have been in business for a minimum of three (3) years and must submit with their bids five (5) references. After acceptance of bid, the City will notify the successful bidder to submit a performance bond and certificate of insurance in the amount specified in Special Conditions. Estimated Annual Budget Amount: $60,000 A Pre-bid conference will be held on November 6th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Manager’s Large Conference Room, 4th Floor, City Hall, and 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139. Attendance (in person or via telephone) to this Pre-bid meeting is encouraged and recommended as a source of information, but is not mandatory. The Bid title/number shall be referenced on all correspondence. All questions must be received no later than ten (10) calendar days prior to the scheduled Bid opening date. All responses to questions/clarifications will be sent to all prospective bidders in the form of an addendum.
The City of Miami Beach reserves the right to accept any bid or bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach, or waive any informality in any bid or bid. The City of Miami Beach may reject any and all bids or bids.
