Invitation to Bid No. 21-09/10
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Director, 3rd Floor, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, until 3:00 p.m. by October 7, 2010.
At time, date, and place above, bids will be publicly opened. Any bids received after time and date specified will be returned to the bidder unopened. The responsibility for submitting a bid before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the bidder/proposer. The City is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence. Purpose: The purpose of this bid is to establish a contract, by means of sealed bids, for the Lease or Purchase of Police Motorcycles as specified herein, from a source(s) that will give prompt and efficient service.
Scope of Work: The City of Miami Beach intends to either Lease or Purchase approximately seventeen (17) current model (2011) Police Type Two-Wheel Motorcycles. No previously titled motorcycles (demonstrators, etc.) will be accepted. All motorcycles shall be delivered with all new parts and components. The quantities shown are estimated as year one’s requirement. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the total quantities. The specifications are written around a 2011 Harley Davidson FLHP Road King Police Motorcycle.
REFERENCES: Each bid must be accompanied by a minimum of five (5) separate references in which three (3) or more are State or local governmental agencies that have five (5) motorcycles or more (purchased or leased) in their fleet. Reference shall include the name of the company, a contact person, contact person’s E-MAIL ADDRESS, the telephone number and facsimile number. A Pre-bid conference will be held on September 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the City Manager’s Large Conference Room, 4th Floor, City Hall, and 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139. Attendance (in person or via telephone) to this Pre-bid meeting is encouraged and recommended as a source of information, but is not mandatory.
