INVITATION TO BID NO. 07-03/04 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Director, 3rd Floor, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, until 3:00 p.m. on the 1st day of December 2003 for: GLASS BLOCK REMOVAL AND WINDOW REPLACEMENT AT THE MIAMI BEACH POLICE STATION Scope of Work: The work specified in this bid consists of furnishing all labor, machinery, tools, means of transportation, supplies, equipment, materials, services necessary for the removal of the existing exterior glass blocks and replaced with an approved Dade County Impact Glass System product. Estimated Budget: $200,000.00 Minimum Requirements: Prospective Bidders (General Contractor and/or Sub-Contractors) must have 3 years experience in multi-story commercial construction projects, including window and glass replacement and installation. Submit a minimum of four separate completed project as references, each with construction cost of $100,000 or higher. The General Contractor and/or Sub-Contractors must have required licenses in order to obtain all required permits for the completion of the project. Bid Guaranty: 5% of the Contract Bid Amount Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent and evidence of required insurance within fifteen (15) calendar days after notification of award of the Contract. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 9:30 a.m. on November 24, 2003 at the City of Miami Beach Police Department, Community Room (adjacent to the front lobby) located at 1100 Washington Avenue., Miami Beach, FL 33139. Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is highly encouraged and recommended as a source of information but is not mandatory.
