Summary of Specifications:
The City of Miami Beach (hereinafter referred to as “the City”) desires to receive proposals to provide group employee benefits – Long Term Disability (LTD) and Short Term Disability (STD) for employees, effective June 1, 2005 with a multiple rate guarantee for a period of two (2) or three (3) years.
The City of Miami Beach employs approximately 1,750 employees, the majority of which live in Dade County and Broward County. The City has approximately 1,400 retired employees, of which about half live in the South Florida area and the majority of the other half live in other areas of Florida. However, there is a small population of retirees living in other areas of the United States.
