Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this RFP is to establish a contract, by means of sealed Proposals, for a qualified provider of janitorial services. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, administrative and technical support, labor, subcontractors, materials, supplies and equipment (except as otherwise provided), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective completion of all services described herein. The Contractor shall be fully responsible for providing customer service, quality control and all other services listed herein. Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor will determine how often the work is to be performed, how much labor is needed to perform the tasks, what methods will be used to complete the job and which supplies, materials and equipment are needed. The results of the work performed under this contract will conform to the Quality Requirements and the Public Area Cleanliness Index. These performance-based specifications express the City of Miami Beach’s requirements in the form of Quality Requirements. These work requirements are provided as the City of Miami Beach’s best gauge of the minimum quality standards to be met. The Contract Coordinator expects that upon daily or periodic inspections that these minimum standards will be met or exceeded.
