ITB-44-09-10 - Reconfiguration of the 800MHz Public Safety Communications System

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Miami Beach operates a Motorola equipped 800 MHz 10 channel trunked Public Safety Radio System in its designated jurisdiction. The Federal Communications Commission has ordered the reconfiguration of the 800 MHz band to minimize increasing levels of interference to critical public safety communications systems from commercial wireless carriers. The purpose of this bid is to establish a contract, by means of sealed bids, with a qualified provider to perform reconfiguration services to modify the City’s Public Safety Radio System in order to comply with the FCC’s Rebanding Report and Order. This contract duration will be contingent upon a schedule determined by the Administration and shall commence upon contract execution by the Mayor and City Clerk.
