PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION TO BID NO. 13-04/05 Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Director, 3rd Floor, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, until 3:00 p.m. on the 20th of May, 2005 for: SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR HVAC SYSTEMS AT THE BASS MUSEUM OF ART Scope of Work: The purpose of this bid is to establish a contract whereby the contractor shall provide all plant, labor, parts, materials, transportation and equipment necessary to conduct eleven (11) scheduled monthly service/maintenance visits and one (1) yearly visit to repair and maintain the designated HVAC systems/equipment at the City of Miami Beach Bass Museum. The successful contractor will perform all maintenance, repairs and service of all components of the Florida Heat Pumps, and Dectron units such as the compressors, indoor blower fans and motors, control modules, and all related items. Contractor will be responsible for the full maintenance, repairs and service of all Circul-aire outside air systems. The contract shall remain in effect from date of award through December 31, 2006, with options for three (3) additional one year periods. Minimum Requirements: Prospective Bidder must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the business of service and maintenance of HVAC systems/equipment. In addition, prospective bidders must provide at least six (6) separate references in Dade or Broward Counties for maintenance agreements for HVAC systems/equipment, including contact names, titles and phone numbers for verification of references. A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 4, 2005 at the City of Miami Beach Bass Museum located at 2121 Park Avenue, Miami Beach. Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is highly encouraged and recommended as a source of information but is not mandatory. Bid Guaranty: A Bid Guaranty is not required, however the successful Bidder executing the Contract will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the annual value of the contract, and evidence of required insurance within fifteen (15) calendar days after notification of award of the Contract. Estimated Budget: $68,000 At time, date, and place above, bids will be publicly opened. Any bids or proposals received after time and date specified will be returned to the bidder unopened. The responsibility for submitting a bid/proposal before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the bidder/proposer. The City is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence. The City of Miami Beach has contracted with BidNet and has begun utilizing a new central bid notification system created exclusively for state and local agencies located in South Florida.
