Summary of Specifications:
The City is actively seeking proposals from qualified electric vehicle charging station distributors/operators/manufacturers to install, operate, and maintain electric vehicle charging stations for the City of Miami Beach Parking System, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in the RFP.
The City intends to enter into a contract for the installation, operation, and maintenance of self-service electric vehicle charging stations for public use in municipal parking facilities. The selected Proposer will be required to implement a program which should enable the public to utilize electric vehicle charging stations. Services would be provided on a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year (full time) basis with sufficient resources and personnel to successfully support and maintain the program.
The City wishes to preserve flexibility for itself in entering into an EV charging station program. Accordingly, we will adhere to the following sequence (details described on pp. 6-7):

Sealed Proposals will be received until 3:00 PM on September 9, 2010 at the following address:

ANY PROPOSAL RECEIVED AFTER 3:00 PM ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2010 WILL BE RETURNED TO THE PROPOSER UNOPENED. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUBMITTING PROPOSALS BEFORE THE STATED TIME AND DATE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILTY OF THE PROPOSER.
The City will not be responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence.

Attendance (in person or via telephone) to this Pre-Proposal Submission Meeting is encouraged and recommended as a source of information, but is not mandatory. Proposers interested in participating in the Pre-Proposal Submission Meeting via telephone must follow these steps:

The City of Miami Beach reserves the right to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach, or waive any informality in any proposal. The City of Miami Beach may also reject any and all proposals.
