Summary of Specifications:
The project involves restoring eroded banks of the creek to near pre-flood conditions and providing stabilization along the slopes to protect from future erosion. Major items of work include limited clearing and demolition to remove debris deposited by the flooding, backfilling and grading to rebuild eroded banks to a gradual slope, and installing anchored tied concrete block mat and rip rap to provide resilience to the slope face. The tied block mat product will armor the slope face while allowing for vegetation to grow up within voids in the mat. Other items of work will include minor repair to yard drains and fences, permanent stabilization of disturbed areas through sodding and seeding, and installation of some native aquatic vegetation.
Specifications and contract documents (Project Manual) are open to public inspection in the Pensacola Public Library located at 239 N. Spring Street. Documents may be viewed and purchased from the Office of the City Engineer, 222 West Main St., 5th Floor, Pensacola, Florida for $50.00 (non-refundable) including UPS shipping. This payment must be by check or money order made payable to City of Pensacola. Registered plan holders who attend the pre-bid conference will be notified of bid or project addenda. Any addenda issued will be made available on the City’s website at http://www.cityofpensacola.com/bids. Interested bidders are advised to check the site frequently.
