Summary of Specifications:
General work will include installation of: new stabilized subgrade, new lime rock base material, a final SP12.5 asphalt surface course with associated curb and gutter, newvalleygutter, and repour/replace driveways. The lump sum maintenance of traffic item shall include all signs, devices and other costs associated with maintaining traffic during the construction including weekend work No night work shall be permitted on this project. Complete work under this contract shall consist of installation of required erosion control features (including sandbags), cover and protect storm water inlets, installation of new curb and gutter, installation of concrete driveways, installation of asphalt surface, and placement of sod. Concrete finish on repaired driveways shall be in like kind to that of the existing driveway. All grade work and elevations shall reflect the design information provided in the construction plans. All proposed line and grade work shall be approved by the City Inspector. Specifications and contract documents (Project Manual) are open to public inspection in the Pensacola Public Library located at 239 N. Spring Street. Documents may be viewed and purchased from the Office of the City Engineer, 222 West Main St., 5th Floor, Pensacola, Florida for $50.00 (non-refundable) including UPS shipping. This payment must be by check or money order made payable to City of Pensacola. Contact Sheri Carlton in the Office of the City Engineer (850-435-1645) to obtain bidding documents. Registered plan holders who attend the pre-bid conference will be notified of bid or project addenda. Any addenda issued will be made available on the City’s website at http://www.cityofpensacola.com/bids. Interested bidders are advised to check the site frequently.
