The City of Pensacola will receive sealed bids from qualified firms to furnish the services identified in the specifications document.
Scope of work shall include all permits, labor, material and tools to remove and replace all the glass exterior windows in the gym, contractor to field verify type (insulated glass if possible in existing frames),quantity, thickness and size. The new glass must meet all current building and wind codes, be impact-resistant if required/needed. Any frames that need replacing shall meet the all current codes, also. All caulking, sealants required for proper watertight installation. Additional work shall consist of removal and replacement of the two (2) existing wood main doors with new metal doors and frames. This will include all hardware, locks, panic bars required by building code and fire codes. Doors and frames to be painted after installation, colors to be selected by City. Alternate #1 Remove and replace the existing metal doors on the exterior mechanical room. Include all hardware and locks. Paint after installation.
Specifications and contract documents (Project Manual) are open to public inspection at the Pensacola Public Library located at 239 N. Spring Street, and may be obtained at the City of Pensacola website, www.cityofpensacola.com/bids.aspx or from the Purchasing Office. Registered plan holders who attend the pre-bid conference will be notified of bid or project addenda. Any addendum issued will be posted to the City’s website. Bidders are responsible for obtaining addenda, and are advised to check the website frequently.
Sealed bids with original signature and one (1) additional copy plus one (1) electronic copy on flash drive or CD will be received at the Purchasing Office located on the 6th floor of City Hall at 222 West Main Street until 2:30 P.M., LOCAL TIME, FEBRUARY 26, 2019. Bids received after said date and time will not be accepted.
