Summary of Specifications:
1. FORWARD: The purpose of this bid is to establish a ten (10) year contract, renewable annually by mutual agreement of both parties, for exclusive beverage vending services for all District facilities and functions. The School Board of Escambia County is seeking a qualified Beverage supplier/partner that would be granted long term purchasing exclusivity for Full Service Beverage Vending and Food Service Beverage Vending Sales as specified in this request for proposal.
The resulting contract will include all product sales in vending machines, fountain dispensing units or other beverage vending operations on District owned school campuses, adult centers, administrative buildings, and all beverage sales in all Escambia County School District cafeterias or dining locations owned and operated by the District.
The Successful Vendor will be providing product and services for multiple entities within the Escambia County School District, the Food Services Department and the general school population (boosters clubs, PTA, vending sales in non-food service areas, etc.). All services provided to or through the Food Services Department shall be coordinated by the Food Services Department Director. This includes setting of prices, equipment needs, locations and product usage.
For this exclusive opportunity, the District is requesting a one time up-front payment, sales commission and fixed product prices for Food Services. Beverages shall be defined as: all non-alcoholic beverages excluding milk, other dairy products, frozen beverages, water for water coolers and water from the public water supply. Once the District has approved the initial product line offered by the vendor, the vendor will be allowed to add new products with prior written approval from the District.
