RFP-064001 - INDEPENDENT AUDIT OF ESCAMBIA DISTRICT SCHOOL’S INTERNAL FUNDS

Summary of Specifications:
The Escambia County School Board (“The Board”) is considering outsourcing the financial/operational audits of the internal accounts of sixty-one (61) schools within the Escambia County School District. The Board requests proposals from qualified Certified Public Accountants to conduct these audits. The Board will utilize the results of this RFP in its decision as to whether to outsource or not. If outsourcing is found to be a viable option the highest rated firm will be offered a contract. The initial term of this contract is for three years 2006-2008. Any contract resulting from RFP may be extended for two additional one-year periods at the discretion of The Board. A list of all schools, including receipts, and disbursements, for Fiscal Year 2004-2005, is included as Attachment A. Travel expenses must be included in the proposal cost. The Board will not pay for the Auditor’s travel that is billed separately. If additional schools are added or existing schools are closed then the audit costs for those schools only will be negotiated.
