Summary of Specifications:
Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting General Contractor’s or licensed Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor’s active in construction of excavated ponds and control structures, discharge piping, and channel improvements designed to create additional storage for flood abatement and water quality treatment. The project consists of the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) that include drainage modifications to a natural detention storage facility and construction of outfall improvements near the corner of East Martin Luther King JR Boulevard and Josephine Street to relieve residential and street flooding in the South Brooksville area within Hernando County, herein referred to as (SOUTH BROOKSVILLE FLOOD RELIEF BMP 6). A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference will be held June 7, 2017 and June 8, 2017, @ 9:00 AM, at the Hernando County Department of Public Works, 1525 E. Jefferson St., Brooksville, FL 34601. Representatives of Owner will be present to discuss the project. Bidders are required to attend and participate in at least one (1) of these conference(s). THIS CONFERENCE WILL ONLY BE HELD ON THE DATES LISTED ABOVE AND SIGN IN SHALL DISQUALIFY ANY BIDDER NOT ATTENDING FROM SUBMITTING A BID. ATTENDEES MUST BE PRESENT AT THE START OF THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE. ARRIVAL AFTER THE START OF THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE SHALL BE CAUSE FOR DISQUALIFICATION.
