Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting General Contractors with Underground Utility Licenses that are active in drainage improvements.
The project is depicted and described in the specifications and on the construction plans and consists in general of the excavation of a drainage retention pond and construction of a flume directing roadway runoff into the pond.  The Contractor shall locate and protect all existing underground utilities from damage during the course of the work and shall coordinate construction scheduling with all utility providers having infrastructure in the area.  The Contractor is also responsible for installing and maintaining required MOT devices during project construction.
This project also includes mobilization and demobilization, clean up, offsite transporting, and proper disposal of excavated spoil, construction waste and demolition debris, installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment controls, providing maintenance of traffic during construction, dewatering activities, sodding and restoring the site, utility coordination, and repairing public and private property damaged during construction of the project.
